Do you also manage HVDC, underground cable and substation projects?
Yes. Transmission routes and substations in the transmission grid are major projects in their own right, in which planning approval, environmental requirements, land availability and lead times for cable systems and transformers determine the critical path – often over years and long before the first construction site. We carry exactly these activities in the schedule, manage the interfaces with authorities, grid operators and suppliers, and keep track of cost and documents throughout.
Do you also support battery storage projects?
Yes, from the idea to commissioning. A large-scale battery storage system is built quickly; the date is usually set by the grid connection. We run permitting, delivery, installation, grid connection and commissioning in one plan and make sure the approval and safety processes for electrical and storage safety are separate activities in it.
Can you manage several sites at the same time?
Yes, and that is precisely the task here. It is not the individual solar park that is difficult, but twenty projects in parallel. That is why we work with standardised processes and a common progress measurement across the portfolio – one report for all projects instead of twenty separate status updates.
Why is the grid connection so often the critical path?
Because deadlines, grid connection codes and certificates are set from outside and cannot be accelerated by putting more people on site. If you treat them as a boundary condition rather than as an activity in the schedule, you find out too late that the plant is finished and still not allowed to feed in.
Do you also take on maintenance and inspection campaigns for existing assets?
Yes. We plan and manage recurring inspections, component replacements and maintenance campaigns across many units in a standardised, repeatable way – so that the same campaign does not have to be planned from scratch again at the twentieth site.
Do you work independently of manufacturers?
Yes. We manage independently of plant, storage and component manufacturers. ep-cm is owner-managed and does not belong to any group with executing companies – our contribution is planning, control and documentation of evidence, not selling plant technology.
