Before you write.
Do I really not need a cover letter?
No. Send us your CV – and if you don't have one to hand right now, your LinkedIn profile is enough to start with. We're interested in which plants and projects you know and what role you played in them. That's in your CV. Everything else we'd rather talk about than read.
What happens after I've sent my application?
Your message goes to jobs@ep-cm.com and reaches Thomas Krischak, our Head of HR & Staffing, and the HR team. So a person reads it, not an application portal, and there is no automated pre-selection. After that come the four steps further up this page: getting to know each other, checking the fit, getting started.
Where does my data go?
The form sends nothing to a server. It opens your e-mail program with a ready-made message that you send yourself – so your details only leave your computer when you press “Send”. The recipient is jobs@ep-cm.com. You attach your references and CV yourself in your mail program, so you decide what you send us.
There's no matching vacancy advertised right now. Is it still worth applying?
Yes. Many assignments come up when a client starts a project – and then things move fast. A speculative application means we can call you as soon as something suits you. It helps if you add which direction you want to go in and when you could start.
Do I have to choose a specific position?
No. In the form, you only choose the area: turnarounds, capital projects or advisory and analysis. We work out which role suits you in a conversation. If you don't know yet, choose “Still open”.
Where would I work?
Wherever the plant is. ep-cm has seven locations in Germany, Austria and Romania, but most of the work happens on site at the client. Which work location is right for you depends on the project – and it's one of the points we clarify early and openly, so you can plan.
Do you offer training?
Yes, through our own Academy. It trains not only client teams but also our own team – when you join, between projects and whenever a new task calls for it. What you still need for your next role, we discuss in your development review – you don't have to organise it yourself.
Our glossary explains technical terms from the shutdown and project business – 59 entries, each linked to the relevant service.
Rather talk
first?
Give us a call or drop us a line. We'll tell you honestly whether and where we can use you right now – even if the answer is sometimes “not at the moment”.
